Foundry Yard is a development of twelve one and two bedroom flats situated on Church Street in the village of Haydon Bridge.
Property Design Matters Ltd is working in partnership with Milecastle Housing, providing the village with individual flats at affordable prices.
The development sits on the corner of Church Street and Strothers Close and the design of the building forms a stop end to the terrace while
creating an internal court yard with amenity space for the residents. The building will be finished in materials sympathetic to the area, the main elevation
to church street building built in natural random stone, while the other elevations are finished in a traditional brick to match those of the
dwellings in Strothers Close.
The development is due to get underway in early April 2005 and be completed in March 2006. Every effort will be made by the contractors to minimise
the effect of the works on the local community as the build proceeds.
On completion, eight of the flast will be owned by Milecastle Housing and Four will be left under the ownership of Property Design Matters Ltd.
