The scheme for Moat Hill farm was produced for a client. The elevations that you see below are for the farmhouse on the site. This was the only existing dwelling on the site, but the scheme we produced overall was for a further two barn conversions and a new build dwelling. The farmhouse itself was a re-furbishment. the external features of the dwelling were to be left largely as existing with only the addition of a sun lounge a small extension to house a new hall way leading to a re-positioned staircase. the dwelling is very traditional in style and construction and it was imperative that these characteristics were preserved through use of suitable materials and design features. The dwelling internally was gutted and completely revamped throughout brining it up to current building regulations standards, but the external appearance of the house remains as existing.
