Property Design Matters Ltd was established in 1999, initially to complete a development of New Build dwellings at The Orchard, Acomb in the Tyne Valley. The company specialises in taking projects from bare sites through Plannning and Building Regulations through to construction. Since 1999 we have completed a wide range of developments including residential and commercial New Build and refurbishment and extension of existing dwellings. The company was formed by three main principles:

Gordon Currie, an Architectural Consultant who has had his own Practice in the Tyne Valley for over 20 years, is Chairman and head of the company. His expertise is in site realisation. His ability to design the right building for each individual site and detail it to fit in with the surrounding area is central to the companies success.

Brian Henricks is the Managing Director and works as the main Site Manager for the company. He runs the day to day site works, organising men, materials and Sub Contractors as each scheme progresses. Brian's background is in Joinery and he has worked with Gordon for many years doing barn conversions and restorations for clients.

Julian Thompson is Company Secretary for Property Design Matters Ltd. Graduating in Industrial Design and Marketing in 1997 he worked in Gordon Currie's Architectural Practice as a computer designer. He then went on to help set up the company doing company accounts, administration and secretarial works as well as working up plans and visuals.

The company has the benefit of a small but loyal work force which enjoys working in an informal manner. Jeanette Hennessey runs the day to day accounts, payroll and all office administration for the company. Brian Henricks rely's on a small team of joiners, labourers and a landscaper to carry out each project. We also have a good professional relationship with many local Sub Contractors and Suppliers which we rely on to provide us with quality and reliability in supplying and fitting a range of services from Electrics to Painting and Decorating.

We also provide a range of Architectural services to a client base in the Tyne valley. We specialise in providing a full Planning Service, taking clients intial requests through to drawing up full Planning Proposals for submission to the Planning Authority. Within this service we provide full plans, including floor plans, site plans and elevations. All these are provided as full colour photgraphic representations to the client. We also work closely with surveyors to provide up to date and accurate information on each individual project, providing the client with the accuracy required to take the project from conception through to construction.
